SFW: Neither Nor
For her label Neither Nor, Chinese fashion designer Wang QiaoQiao delivered a collection that girls will be itching for come spring. Fun without being fussy, the streamlined silhouettes of tailored blazers, skirts and shorts came alive with shimmering fabric and stripes in dashes of color – turquoise, cobalt blue, lemon, mustard and pale rose. Boxy tops – worn over skirts and pants – made multiple appearances. While not directional, Neither Nor’s collection was solidly wearable, as QiaoQiao knows how to dress the working girl who wants extra mileage out of her structured office-appropriate wardrobe come weekends. Not everything was structured though, like a sapphire-emerald sleeveless dress, whose long fluid structure was starkly capped by a starchy white 70s collar and sheer pajama-esque pants worn over shorts and paired with a matching boxy tank. Neither Nor also delivered the perfect spring topper: hitting the knee, the boxy coat will make a bold statement on city sidewalks with its candy-colored horizontal stripes.
