Shopbop to Shangbop giveaway

On September 29, 2012 by Hart

September is the January of fashion season – the time when we edit our look and revamp our wardrobes. Well September is nearly spent, and I’ve hardly done any shopping for the cooler months ahead. That’s because shopping in Shanghai is difficult. Unpleasant. Sometimes boring, dare I say it. Pretty sure I’ve just committed fashion blogger blasphemy, but we all know it’s a bitch finding our favorite contemporary brands here. And when we do happen upon familiar pals like J Brand and Rag & Bone, they cost three times more than what we’re used to paying. Fortunately Shopbop comes to the rescue of a Shangbop fashion damsel in distress. They offer FREE express delivery for orders over USD100, meaning it’ll feel like Christmas morning in about three to five days (depending on Chinese customs clearance).  You’ll have to penny up for that pesky VAT tax, but ultimately you’re getting a much better deal.

This would be my go-to outfit for October in Shanghai.  A neutral yet richly-hued color palette and luxurious materials (hello there, lambskin), punched up by classic accessories with some edge. I also can bike the French Concession in these Theysken’s Theory boots, very key. Each of these items are vastly wearable and will get a ton of mileage throughout the winter.

What is your key Shanghai wardrobe piece from Shopbop? Post the link on Shanghai Style File’s Facebook page and I’ll give you a 20% off coupon code! I have teamed up with Shopbop to give away six of these coupons, so get e-shopping now.

J Brand Super Skinny leather pants in cognac ; Rag & Bone belt ; Theysken’s Theory boots ; Alexander Wang ribbed turtleneck ; Foley & Corinna bag ; Maison Martin Margiela double ring ; Stella McCartney sunglasses
