Motion – The Japanese Luxury Consumer

Just as the whole word is fixated on China as the new frontier of the global economy, it’s important to take a step back and compare the country to other foreign models. Japan is one such country. Known for its historically voracious luxury appetite, the Japanese consumer is perhaps the most sophisticated and demanding out there. And though China’s model is still growing whilst Japan’s is nascent, it provides a basic predictive framework as to how China might evolve in its later years.
