A couple of weeks ago, Design China was fortunate enough to be able to visit the factory where Alessandro Rolandi is conducting his Social Sensibility Research & Development Program. At the time, Japanese artist Megumi Shimizu was just starting her 3-month stint at the factory. Who knew that such a place could hold so much eye candy?

      Oh Beijing, how I missed you. In spite of the pollution, the dust, the traffic, the spitting and the rude cab drivers, everything else – my lovely friends, the palpable energy in the air, the delicious food and, of course, all the fond memories – made up for it tenfold.
