May J. by Jiang Ling, Day 7 of Shanghai Fashion Week

On April 23, 2012 by chinesepeopledoyoustyle

May J., a brand I first discovered at Shanghai Fashion Week in October 2009, has come far in her three short years as one of China’s most promising menswear designers. She presented a refined yet edgy collection for Fall/Winter 2012, with particularly incredible jackets and knits. She even dabbled in womenswear this season, with a few strong pieces that show promise if this young designer ever chooses to branch out… But this season, Jiang Ling asserted her position as one of the leading menswear designers in China, and probably the edgiest and most provocative… But don’t take my word for it, take a look yourself and let me know what you think!
